'Flooded'

This was taken in winter when I should, in all honesty, have been in bed. I had promised someone at work that I would take her 13 year old son out to do a landscape for his birthday treat(poor lad!), the plan being to show how I do landscapes and produce a print for him as a momento. This is the image. The weather forecast was promising but I awoke to find a completely clear sky which did not bode well.
In the end I was pleased with this as I had informed him whilst it was still dark that this would make a good shot once we had some light on the foreground grass and the tree and I think we achieved that. We were lucky enough to also have a hint of cloud with this which involved use of the self-timer and some brisk running to get our shadows out of shot!
